Praise Team & Band

An awesome mix of rhythm section, horns and vocalists, this group leads you directly into the Holy of Holies each service. Our musical styles vary from rock-n-roll, jazz, funk and gospel to latin and urban contemporary. These are some of the most talented and anointed musicians and singers you will ever hear. During our worship services, they many times will minister prophetically through song or instrumental solos. The Praise Team & Band often travel to various churches, conferences and special events to minister in song or to teach about different aspects of worship.

Our purpose

Is to show you how to approach the throne of God boldly through worship, so that you can discover who He really is. It is our goal to not only help usher you into His presence, but to teach you how to develop an intimate relationship with Him and ultimately live a lifestyle of worship. He really is seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. Worship is vital in a church like CITN where the Word of God is so boldly proclaimed. Jesus is enthroned on our praises and He is Lord and His Kingdom can only come where He is proclaimed Lord and King.

Pastor Jimmie Mayo

A gifted musician, anointed worship leader, producer and composer, Pastor Jimmie Mayo, IV has been Minister of Worship & Arts at Church In The Now in Conyers, Georgia for over 14 years. Raised and trained as a musician from age 3, he has always flowed in the calling of a musician and worship leader. Pastor Jimmie has been in full-time music ministry for over 20 years. He has recorded and produced several powerful praise and worship projects as well as 3 unique projects featuring his pastor, Bishop Jim Earl Swilley, speaking the anointed Word of God over instrumental music. He has ministered all over the country in conferences, seminars, churches and internationally through television on TBN and INSP. He displays a prophetic impartation in his ministry having traveled and ministered extensively with Prophet Kim Clement. Through his incredible ability to move prophetically in music, Jimmie is able to stay on the cutting edge of the flow of the Holy Spirit.

Pastor Jimmie has a unique understanding of the heart and minds of creative people and a passionate calling to inspire, nurture, and lead musicians into deeper relationships with God and with each other. It’s his desire to see artists continually rise to new levels of anointing and ability. About ministry, Jimmie says, “Life is all about change, yet the church is still doing the same old things and expecting different results. It’s time for us to be a “now” people with a “now” voice that speaks a “now” word to a “now” generation.” As a worship leader and pastor of worship leaders, he desires to instill this same passion in other worshippers. He feels his role in life is to reveal the presence of God within himself and others and to proclaim “The Kingdom is at hand!”.

Pastor Jimmie is not only a skilled musician, but is technically trained in audio/visual and oversees the audio/visual ministry at CITN. Jimmie and his wife, Sharon, live in Covington, Georgia with their children, Jimmie and Brittany, who are also being raised up as powerful worship leaders and musicians.
